Carla Torres, David Rosendorf, Lee Brian Schrager and I contributed to a feature on 5 trailblazing Miami chefs, in the November issue of Ocean Drive magazine. The article encompasses 5 short snappy interviews, but the online edition doesn’t indicate which writer wrote about which chef. In case you’re curious, I wrote the last two: Odell Torres, the Havana-born executive chef at Larios on the Beach since 2013, who is set to helm Gloria and Emilio’s Estefan Kitchen in the Design District; and New Jersey-born Cindy Hutson, the veteran, pioneering chef/owner of Ortanique on the Mile who with partner Delius Shirley has recently opened Zest and Zest Mkt. downtown.
