Old Nails: A Pictorial

A few years back, while demolishing our old bathroom, I found myself pulling numerous nails and screws from wooden posts -- the originals from when the structure was built in 1940. And as light streamed in from the window upon the beam where they were piled, there was something so ancient and wounded about them that I thought of lifeless Civil War soldiers laying on the battlefield. But really, they're just nails.
